Sebastian's on the Beach

Nach einem langen Flug aus Europa war das Hotel für uns eine kurze Verschnaufpause, um am nächsten Tag unser Charterschiff zu übernehmen. Dazu war es prima. Dinner und Frühstück waren bestens, wir saßen direkt am Wasser. Service okay, Preise sind BVI-Preise. Ruhige Lage.

Staying here was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. A travel agent booked us one night here. We arrived in the evening and immediately I felt uneasy as I waited outside with the bags as my family checked in, 3 men who did not work there and did not seem to be guests just sat there staring at me and my luggage I was afraid I was going to be robbed. I had my spouse come outside to wait with me and he felt the same. Everything was over priced, we ate at the restaurant and the food was mediocre but the service possibly the worst I've ever had, they made me feel like I was ruining their night by being there and it seemed they were angry at us. Later that night one of the men that were intimidating us broke into our room as we were sleeping. I was lucky enough to wake up immediately before he could reach his arm in and pull the chain of the door. We yelled at him and locked the door. None of us had any sleep that night. We all still look back and think about how awful that night was. We all had a feeling those men and the staff were working together to steal gusts belongings. I urge you to reconsider staying here

Don't expect much. No pool, no beach (that's right, don't trust the photos!). If you want to swim in the ocean do so at your own risk. Nothing to do here during the day. Night events are fun and the restaurant descent, but overall I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to sit in a chair on a sandy landing on top of a seawall and look out at a rocky shoreline. People are nice. Photos had us fooled. We thought we'd be relaxing on a nice beach and swimming in the beautiful ocean. Not so much.

We were there for dinner, prices were mid to high and the food was 8/10 so not a bad place. It was bingo night and the crowd was into it, they sat us away from the noise of bingo so that was nice

A beautiful spot to eat, be entertained and get a cocktail. The food was excellent, and on one of the two nights we dined there a singer called MJ Blues was performing (incredibly entertaining and talented!). Toilets were clean, restaurant takes card and the food was great. The only downside was the slow service (even by Caribbean standards). But don’t let it put you off - if you’re not in a rush, stop by and it’ll be worth it.

We've had several wonderful experiences here but our last visit was the worst we've ever had anywhere. 1.5 hours to get our drinks and over 2 hours to receive dinner making our total time 3 hours for a meal. 3 out of 6 dinners were incorrect. 5 or 6 tables came after us and were served and left long before us. We had to keep finding the server to help us as well as another server that has several tables of her own. The bartender was extremely slow and seemed like he was hanging out more than tending bar.

DON’T MISS! Food is the best, fish, ribs, we’ve enjoyed it all including the waterside seating, amazing waitstaff and bartenders “made with love” drinks, and more… we WILL BE BACK:)

Our group of 5 stayed for our last night in BVI after we got off a catamaran charter. We were lucky enough to be there on a Thursday night for bingo and karaoke- it was an absolute blast! You can’t beat the views on the beach and especially in their little seaside restaurant. Good food, nice staff, amazing location- what’s not to love? ! It was the perfect end to our week long vacation!

Killer Pina coladas and a great spot to watch the sunset from. Bingo and Karaoke on Thursdays is a must

This place is a true gem. The rooms are nice and the view is unbeatable.
The staff was extremely helpful in sorting out an issue with our room. They immediately rectified the issue. We couldn't have been happier!
Make sure you book the ocean view room.

Gorgeous views, right on sandy beach.high class comfort.beds were super comfy, restaurant had good quality dinner and breakfast.loved the Sebastian's rum french toast and strawberry sauce, waves crashing to the shore right in front.so relaxing and staff were v good. Relaxing, quality with Amazing views!

They have turned this formerly lovely mellow place into a low class Motel 6 landlocked crummy cruise ship at Ritz Carlton prices

I don’t know if it’s new ownership but they are turning this place into a low class landlocked cruise ship. Karaoke bingo and disco bass drum blasting all day Sunday it’s loud it’s noisy it’s low class and it’s expensive. The food is slow but I will say this the staff is very friendly. If you wanna spend a lot of money and you don’t care about sleeping at night or having any peace or serenity this is the place for you

Friendly Staff! We had a nice room in the back of the property (dog barking-kept my husband up all night) They moved us the next day to a room on the beach away from the barking.
The food at the restaurant was good we had breakfast and lunch mainly. Went out to dinners (Sugar Mill and Bananakeet Cafe-great view at sunset- Both expensive)
There was a party with a band one evening that we got to enjoy- super fun! Brunch on Sunday was great and there was music also on the patio.
The property is very clean and comfortable beds! You all do a wonderful job! Well be back.

Sebastian's famous rum is featured in many of their must-try cocktails. Delicious conch fritters and lobster!

Service is slower than US, which is normal for here and most of the world. Be prepared to take your time with your meal and enjoy your friends, the ocean, or the occasional entertainment.

We always eat at Sebastian's more than once on our stays in the BVI!

3 star accommodation. Great food and drinks right on the beach.best spot for surfing. Great sunsets

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED TO ARRIVE IN THE VIRGIN ISLANDS TO ONLY BE TOLD WE HAVE TO USE A FERRY TO BE TRANSPORTED. ONCE ARRIVING TO WHERE THE FERRIES ARE LOCATED WE WERE TOLD ABOUT THE 7PM CURFEW AND ALSO THAT THEY WERE NOT TRANSPORTING INDIVIDUALS OVER TO THE ISLAND DUE TO COVID. I AM NOW STRANDED WITH NO ROOM. I WISH THAT THE HOTEL WOULD HAVE INFORMED US ABOUT THIS BEFORE BOOKING BECAUSE THATS MONEY LOST. I WANT A REFUND AND WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER. I TRIED CALLING EVERY NUMBER POSSIBLE BUT, I AM BEING PUT ON HOLD THEN THEY HANG UP. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! As a travel agent, this was the most HORRIBLE experience I have ever had. We arrived to this location 7/11/21 at 7: 23pm only to be informed by the taxi driver the island has been locked down and there was a 7 pm curfew (effective Friday 7/9/21) due to a rising COVID-19 Outbreak! No one from the property took the opportunity to inform us prior to arrival or before spending hundreds of dollars to even get on the island through Customs and Immigration. The property was even more shocking! Imagine a 6 unit converted apartment complex! We were STUCK there for 1 night. The owner agreed to refund the remaining days but now the phone line mysteriously DOESN'T work and EXPEDIA is less than helpful. Expedia and I have been calling since July 12th and there is just a busy signal. Very dishonorable. I just want them to be ethical and honest enough to refund my money. I wish 0 stars was an option. Just avoid this place!

STOP! DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! So we traveled to BVI this past weekend from Texas only to arrive to be told that the city was on lockdown due to a Covid outbreak, there was a 7p curfew that no one from the hotel nor the government bothered to notify travelers in advance about. The fees at the port are outrageous going and coming and the hotel lobby is the local corner store in town. The actual hotel is nothing like the pictures. I was very disappointed. After having no choice but to stay overnight because we arrived after 7p we left first thing the following morning. The manager sympathized with me because she saw how upset and disappointed I was that she only charged us for the 1st night and refunded us for the remaining days of our stay. We then traveled back to the US Virgin Islands where we had a much better experience

The drinks and entertainment were very good, sadly a long wait for the food.w
When it came out the steaks were not cooked how we asked and the meat was very grissaly. Other than that im sure the rest of the food would be superb
