25Review for the restaurant only - the restaurant was beautiful. Although the food probably took 2 hours to arrive after we ordered, I was pretty content to sit there because of the nice ambience and the good service and cocktails. Once we got the food, it was absolutely delicious. Would definitely come here again.
Delicious filet mignon. Perfectly cooked veggies and mashed potatos. Friendly and helpful waitress. Tip.they have stairs.use the stairs lol
Beautiful new resort. Our friends and us stayed in the Starfish and Seahorse suites. What fabulous accommodations. The staff could not have been nicer! Special shoutouts to Kissey at the front desk / reception and Ali at the upstairs bar (yes I apologize for misspelling names) as they both went above and beyond in helpfulness. The food was excellent as were the views. Cant wait to come back!
Saba Rock was such a treat! The resort is gorgeous and a unique little island. We walked around the perimeter and saw tarpon that were swimming next to the bulkhead. We took a peek in the boutique and saw many nice gifts. We had already eaten dinner when we arrived (will get food here next time), but did head upstairs for a gin and tonic and to watch the sunset. It was the perfect end to the perfect day.
I spent a part of December 26th here. My boat sail over and the captain was a 10/10.
We eventually got to our tables after stopping at the store buying a few items. Getting seated was great. It all went downhill after there. I'm not sure if our waitress was new or the language barrier caused the issues we had or dealing with such a large party.
Food was ordered and there were to be two tabs as we alerted Jocelyn while taking our orders. Our orders were messed up. What was not ordered or what they told us were not available anymore was still on the bill at the end. The bill was not separated like we asked/alerted in the beginning. In the end the manager or someone in charge was called to delete stuff from our bill which was about $300+. I was a mess.
But if that didn't happen I'm sure we might have had a great day all around
I looooove this place so much. The view, the vibes from the bar upstairs pool table, music …They don’t have an extensive menu but it’s still awesome. I love the aesthetics? The staff is so welcoming and pleasant. Definitely recommend this one to visit.
We got the complimentary ferry from our resort in VG. They picked us up early to make sure we got there in time for the tarpon feeding. Since we had time, we had a drink at the downstairs bar where the bartenders were very attentive and friendly. We then had a delicious dinner and hopped a ferry back when we were ready to go. A lovely place that shouldn't be missed!
What a spectacular restaurant.
Our food was superb. The views and experience are even better; this is an evening we'll be talking about for the rest of our lives.
The service, especially from the Maitre'd and sommelier made the evening all the better.
I just can't say enough about Saba rock. My only complaint is that we didn't get there earlier in the day.
I make a point to bring clients here by sailing yacht as it is an extraordinary resort. Very well designed and built. There is a boutique store and restaurant on the first level and a bar and large lounge area with a pool table upstairs. No fourth wall, so you get a great view out at the Sound. You can walk around the back side of the island where is it much quieter and sit at the small beach or grass area. Two hammocks and several Adirondack chairs are available for use.
The bar offers a good variety of beverages with something for everyone. You can order bar food or lunch or dinner at the restaurant downstairs. I've had their catch of the day dinners (snapper or mahi or tuna). It's very tasty grilled or in a bouillabaisse (verrry delicious!). The beet salad and fresh bread (served with herb butter) are wonderful. And I'm not much of a dessert person but the other night we all shared a key lime pie, and I have to say it was superb. Not too tart, and the toasted meringue was divine.
This place is certainly worth a stop if you're considering it by boat. I haven't stayed in any of the rooms, but I have no doubt it is nice. During the high season, at around 16: 30 they feed the tarpon in the water right in front of the docks. Kids really enjoy participating in that.
This place was a treat every time we went. Great food and service and unbeatable location and scenery.
Just stopped in to drop of backpacks for the local BVI youth for a fundraiser, but had to have some food and drink. Both were excellent. Not the cheapest place, but not terrible. Had a fantastic lunch. Well worth the stop. Beautiful place.
The bar area and the restaurant are excellent. Renovation made this place one of the most enjoyable stops. Service was also excellent.
We always knew we wanted to come to Saba Rock after visiting in 2005. From the moment we arrived we were met with drinks, love and smiles. We are travelling with a 10 month old on our delayed honeymoon due to covid and we have been absolutely spoilt. The staff have been so generous with their time, their attention to detail and easily the best drinks in the BVIs. Our room was decorated to mark our honeymoon and we were made to feel part of the Saba Rock Family straight away. We cannot thank the team enough for our special holiday. If you have the opportunity, hold your event here, celebrate here and just enjoy the incredible views of Virgin Gorda. The food has been amazing, the rooms are very generous and the photos do not do it justice. Take time to hear the story of the island and spend time in embracing authentic carribean hospitality. All the best to Saba Rock for next season, keep doing what you are doing and we will see you very soon.
Came to the "NEW" Saba Rock and totally enjoyed the ambiance and food. Went back recently and annoyed to the max. I usually prefer not to give an establishment a bad review but if I could give zero stars I would. From the boat to ordering food was a visit from hell in July 2022. I've visited before but the ambiance today just doesn't quell the frustration. I hope I have a more enjoyable visit IF I come back anytime in a hurry.
A must stop while in Gorda Sound. We took the free Saba Rock launch from Leverick Bay with the intent of having a quick lunch. We stayed until about 1600.after lunch, my wife and I relaxed with a few drinks in the comfy chairs by the bar while our son explored the rest of the Island. What an amazing place, so well done after being completely rebuilt. The staff was great. Call ahead to make reservations, they fill up quick!
Saba Rock is SO completely back and even better than it ever was. The renovated island is really perfect, it’s the easiest place in the BVIs to get a mooring and ice/water, happy hour is really fun and the entire facility is truly five star. Congrats to the ownership group for bringing this place back to BEYOND where it was pre-hurricane. We will be back!
Family meal. Some meals were warm not hot and fish of day was bland and soupy. Bitter End Resort better meals and ambience.
Fabulous place. Very elegant, with a large bar, good drinks. Be aware: $$$. We watched them feed the tarpons (5pm) which was really cool. Definitely worth stopping in or staying there.
Beautiful place and gorgeous. A dessert blueberry cheesecake are exquisite Excellent ambience. Recommended
Definitely hurricane proof
Check out the upstairs bar. Has a swing, table games and billiards.
