D'CoalPot BVI Restaurant Bar & Grill opiniones
32MJ and Patrick, both servers as well as bartenders, are wonderful! Food is excellent. Local Indian dish Fish Roti! Roti is a meat, potato and curry sauce in a chickpea flour wrap. Like a burrito. It's a wonderful local dish and customer can choose the meat such as beef, fish, chicken. The restaurant also serves fresh caught lobster, wahoo. Had the wahoo two nights ago. Blackened and perfectly prepared. Great salad and rum raisin cheesecake is amazing! Service is outstanding. Beautiful sunset!
This place has a beautiful open deck and is right on the water. The food and drinks are outstanding - ate dinner here twice while on the island. The staff are very nice but service is quite slow. So be prepared to relax and wait a while. Still have it 5 stars.
Awesome beachside anmbience and perfect casual location. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend anything else.
The service was SLOW (even by Caribbean standards) and the food quality was very average. The prices were far beyond what was delivered so I would recommend trying other spots on the island.
Waiting one hour for drinks and apps followed by another 90 minutes for the entrees…. No thank you!
Worst ever on BVI. I can cook a fish fish way way better than their chef could. They should never serve frozen fish and seafood to customers.
Went there for dinner a week ago with my best friend. The food and service never disappoint. I started with mussels as an appetizer, and then we had conch as the main course. They had a special drink, vodka with juice, but couldn't taste the vodka. And $12 for a glass. Could have been cheaper. But otherwise.on point.
Absolutely beautiful sunset view! Food was delicious, service was great. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended this place!
Service was so bad we walked out and went to Quito’s where they know how to run a restaurant
Ribs were excellent. The vegan platter was also excellent. Always a great choice at D’Coal pot! And amazing views!
I CANNOT believe I've bypassed this place on numerous occasions. It always piqued my curiosity but I would never stop. Today. I'm so beside myself! This is hands down THE best food I've had in Tortola.and I've been here at least 5x. Today, I'm just thankful I stopped. The ribeye steak is SUPERB! AND, I got it well down, but it was still the juiciest, most flavorful ribeye I've ever had. The sides were great as well, all seasoned to perfection. I got my food to go, but the service was great so there. Everyone greeted me. Everyone was polite. The decor was beautiful. The ambiance very inviting. I highly recommend D'CoalPot. Whew weee! Yes sir. Thank me later.
I visited this restaurant to have dinner on my 60th birthday - February 25. I used WhatsApp to make my reservations and make my meal selection. I specifically asked that my reservation be confirmed.
When I arrived at the restaurant yesterday I was told that they had no reservation for me. Anyway we went ahead and made our order. I ordered garlic mussels and coconut shrimp for appetizers. The wait time wasn't bad. My husband and I had time to enjoy the surroundings and chat a bit.
The setting at the restaurant was homely and cozy just perfect for my celebration. We were even able to enjoy the sunset.
The garlic mussels were great. It's the first time I had these. The coconut shrimp were super delicious. There were served with a mango salsa which I think wasn't necessary.
For the main course we ordered black Angus NY steak and conch in lemon butter sauce. The steak was served with vegetables and fried plantains and the conch - vegetables, mashed potatoes and fried plantains. The steak was very very tasty
The Ginger Wine Chicken at D'Coal Pot was the best dish we ate on Tortola. The chef's secret sauce tastes very similar to Philippe Chow's chicken satay.
The food here was exceptional and we came back multiple times. The Jerk Rib eye steak I had was excellent and the Roti I had was the best I had on Tortola. The view is incredible, the staff is very friendly, and the menu rotates based on availability. Highly recommend
We have used their delivery option twice now with 7 people ordering. Both times the food has been excellent! Papaya Villa.
Greeted kindly at the door choice of seating was given. Excellent service and views flavorful delicious food.
The food was bad, calamari and fish were frozen and not fresh. They have no idea what gluten is. Bad experience do not recommend.
The fish was deep fried and you could not eat any of it since the fish was so over cooked. The restaurant did take off $52.00 and we went to Sabastions for dessert and after dinner drinks. Warmed up left overs when we got home. May try again some evening.
Had a great meal, great experience! Can't beat the view right on the water. Food was fantastic and everything is handmade there. Just take note the 15% tax is a service charge not mentioned on the menu. We added to that because the staff and food was so fantastic. Will go back on our next visit for sure!
Quality meals, delightful environment. One can sit as close to the water as you want! Wine list was an unexpected bonus!
Went to this place based on a recommendation for by a local. Ambiance was lovely with the waves crashing against the rocks in the nighttime. Waiter was nice and checked in with us. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the entree cause I was starved but the Jerk Ribeye steak had good flavor and kick. The conch fritter batter was good but not enough conch in the fritter unfortunately
My appetizer of codfish fritters were divine, but my main entree was a bit disappointing. I had the curry crusted grouper, and although it had a good flavor, and the pickled mango slices were a perfect accompaniment, the fish was overcooked. I would not rule this restaurant out though.
